Sleep may decrease heart disease risks.

Big news last week! There may be a correlation between the amount of sleep you get and heart disease.
An article in the New York Times reported on a recent study that thinks this might be true. Approximately five hundred people were tracked and, after five years, those sleeping five hours or less had more calcification in their coronary arteries than those who slept seven hours of more. In fact, more than four times as many short sleepers had developed the problem than long sleepers. Even a little less sleep showed a correlation. Almost twice as many mid-length sleepers (5 to 7 hours) had the problem as long sleepers.
For those who like to go to the source, here's the full article in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
